The Seattle Sounders are hosting Liga MXās Tigres on Wednesday in the second leg of their Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinal matchup. Here is everything you need to know:
WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. PT at Lumen Field (TICKETS).
WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on FS1 and TUDN.Ā NOTE: The match will start on FS2 and the FOX Sports app if the prior Concacaf Champions Cup match is running long on FS1.
2026 CCC FORMAT: Twenty-seven clubs from North America, Central America and the Caribbean will play in a tournament consisting of five rounds: Round One, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final. Each round up until the final consists of a two-leg series using aggregate scoring to determine a winner. The final will be a single match on May 30.
TIEBREAKERS: If the two teamsā aggregate score is tied after two legs, whichever team scored more away goals will advance. If still tied, two 15-minute extra time periods will be played with the away goals rule no longer in effect. If still tied, a penalty shootout will determine a winner.
LEG 1 RESULT: Tigres defeated the Sounders 2-0 at Estadio Universitario in Monterrey, Mexico, last Wednesday behind goals from Ozziel Herrera and an own goal from Jackson Ragen.
HOW THEY ADVANCE:
Sounders: A three-goal win or greater
Tigres: Win, draw, a one-goal loss, or a two-goal loss if they score
Extra time: A 2-0 Sounders win would send the match to two 15-minute extra time periods before a penalty shootout, if necessary.
PATHWAY TO GLOBAL COMPETITION: The winner of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup will take place in the 2026 FIFA Intercontinental Cup as well as earn a berth into the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2029.

RETURN TO LUMEN: Wednesday will mark the first time the Sounders have played at Lumen Field since the MLS season-opener on Feb. 22 in a win over the Colorado Rapids. The stadium underwent renovations ahead of this summerās FIFA World Cup, which sent the Sounders on an eight-game road trip, including a nominal home game at ONE Spokane Stadium in Spokane, Wash., in their second leg of their Round of 16 CCC series with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
WEEKEND REST: The Sounders enjoyed the weekend off to recuperate following last weekās first leg in Mexico. Tigres, however, stayed at home and defeated Chivas 4-1 in Liga MX action.
DEFENSIVE REGROUP: Seattle will need to keep Tigres off the score sheet to prevent needing to score four goals to advance. The Sounders allowed two goals in Monterrey last week, the first time they had conceded more than once in a match in their last seven contests.
