LINEUP NOTES:
- Midfielder Sota Kitahara will make his first MLS start and second appearance at the senior level. The 21-year-old Homegrown product signed a First Team contract at the end of 2022 and made one cameo appearance last season.
- Goalkeeper Stefan Frei takes over goalkeeping duty for the first time this year, replacing Andrew Thomas, who filled in for the first three matches while the veteran Frei dealt with a hamstring injury.
- Danny Levya and Dylan Teves will make their first starts of the season in midfield as well, while Cristian Roldan shifts from right midfield to the left.
- The Sounders will be without the services of Josh Atencio (suspension), Reed Baker-Whiting (hamstring), Jonathan Bell (international duty), Pedro de la Vega (hamstring), João Paulo (hip), Braudilio Rodrigues (hamstring), Obed Vargas (head) and Léo Chú (knee).
- Defender Jonathan Bell received a late call-up to the Jamaican National Team for its Concacaf Nations League match against Panama tomorrow, and is not available for selection for this evening’s contest
