SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC 2 today announced a date change for its match at Portland Timbers 2 next month. Previously scheduled for Friday, August 18, the contest is now set to take place on Thursday, August 17 at Providence Park (7:30 p.m. PT / Live-streamed on SoundersFC.com) due to a change to Portland’s First Team schedule. Next month’s meeting marks the third and final clash of the season between the two sides, with S2 holding the 2-0-0 advantage.
With a record of 7-8-2, S2 currently sits in seventh place in the Western Conference. The Rave Green’s 23 points are currently two points above the postseason cutoff line as USL enters the second half of the 2017 campaign. Timbers 2 is in 15th place in the Western Conference with a record of 1-14-2 (5 points).
