This Sunday, May 7, as Sounders FC faces Sporting Kansas City on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (1:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV – Watch Free, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM), the Rave Green are continuing the club’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebrations with a variety of special cultural activities taking place in addition to matchday elements fans know and love.

The club strongly encourages those attending Sunday’s match to arrive at Lumen Field early and plan for possible extended travel times and limited parking availability in SoDo, with Sounders FC’s neighbors the Seattle Mariners hosting the Houston Astros at T-Mobile Park at 1:10 p.m. PT.

Additionally, Seattle’s Link light rail is currently experiencing a **service disruption** until further notice which will impact any riders planning to utilize the light rail to travel to and from Sounders FC matches. Please be prepared for delays, as trains are running every 15-20 minutes at all light rail stations. Sound Transit encourages riders to seek alternate service options and plan ahead for additional travel time.

Fans should note the following light rail information as it relates to Sounders FC matches:

• 1 Line trains are single tracking between Westlake and Stadium Stations until further notice.

• All trains from Angle Lake Station and Northgate Station are currently terminating at Pioneer Square and riders continuing beyond Pioneer Square Station are required to transfer between trains.

• All trains at Westlake, University Street and International District / Chinatown Stations are boarding at a single platform; please be reminded that International District / Chinatown Station is the closest stop to Lumen Field.

• If traveling south on the light rail from points north, you will switch trains at Pioneer Square Station to get to International District / Chinatown Station next to the stadium. Alternatively, you may exit Pioneer Square Station and walk to Lumen Field from that point.

Sound Transit is offering expanded service on its Sounder trains on Sunday to aid with travel congestion for fans attending Sounders FC and Mariners events.

Sunday marks a prime opportunity to travel to the stadium by bicycle. For those cycling to the game, Sounders FC offers a complimentary bike valet program presented by Providence, as Providence extends its green initiatives through its partnership with Sounders FC. As part of Providence’s vision of health for a better world, it is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to become carbon negative. Across the health system, Providence is making meaningful changes that have reduced emissions by 11.5 percent per year, compared to its 2019 baseline. More about Providence’s commitment to environmental stewardship and progress can be found here.

The bike valet program is available at all of Sounders FC’s MLS regular-season matches through September 1. Located on Occidental Avenue near the north parking lot of the stadium, bicycles can be parked with the bike valet – operated by Cascade Bicycle Club – starting two hours before kickoff and must be claimed no later than one hour after the final whistle.

Stadium gates open at 12:00 p.m. PT on Sunday. Fans wishing to take part in the Emerald City Supporters’ official March to Match should gather in Occidental Square Park, with the march departing at 12:30 p.m. PT on its way to the stadium.

Fans are reminded that Sounders FC is partnering with CLEAR again this season to help entry into Lumen Field go quickly and smoothly. Just download the free CLEAR App, sign up and then enter through designated CLEAR lanes located at the northwest gates.

Once in the stadium, fans can enjoy the continuation of Sounders FC’s BIPOC and diverse-owned food truck and pop-up restaurants, presented by First & Goal Inc. and Levy. Curated by Intentionalist, these local small businesses align with Sounders FC’s social impact and cultural calendar, giving fans the opportunity to discover new culinary delights with food trucks in Lumen Field’s North Plaza and a pop-up restaurant location in Lumen Field’s PNW Marketplace concessions area, located in the east concourse outside of Section 113. In the month of May, featured businesses are all AANHPI-owned, in recognition of AANHPI Heritage Month.

Sunday’s featured North Plaza food trucks are Bai Tong on Wheels, serving Thai comfort food, and Tabassum, bringing classic Central Asian street food to Lumen Field with its Uzbek cuisine.

On the field this Sunday, Sounders FC is wearing its new Bruce Lee Kit in celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month, and fans will notice a variety of other matchday elements themed to the kit’s design throughout the stadium, including a Bruce Lee scarf on the giant SEATTLE letters in the North Plaza, a Bruce Lee photo experience featuring the popular red and gold neon Sounders FC dragon badge sign, dragon flame towers by the goalposts during the match and more.

**Mak Fai**, Seattle’s premier lion dance troupe, will perform in the North Plaza and in stadium concourses pre-match and also on the field prior to kickoff. Lion dance, a traditional Chinese dance combining art, history and kung fu moves, features performers mimicking a lion’s movements in a stylized lion costume to tell a story and bring good luck. Mak Fai’s aim is to enrich and promote lion dancing in the Greater Seattle area and keep the tradition alive by teaching younger generations in the community.

Throughout the stadium, fans can explore and participate in a wide variety of activities. As a surprise and delight item, randomly selected fans participating in pre-match activations this Sunday will be gifted a custom Sounders x Bruce Lee-themed poster.

On Sunday, various fan activations include:

Crossbar Challenge, Presented by Western Washington Toyota Dealers – The first five fans to hit the crossbar in this interactive skills challenge earn a chance to take a kick on-field at halftime. If a fan hits a crossbar at halftime, Western Washington Toyota Dealers donates $1,000 to RAVE Foundation.

Sounders Penalty Kick – A digital activation where fans get five chances to score a goal against a virtual goalkeeper.

Soccer Skee-ball – This activation allows fans to play a soccer-themed version of Skee-Ball, kicking a ball down a ramp, rather than rolling it, in order to score as many points as possible.

Soccer Billiards – Fans can play a soccer-themed version of pool, challenging a partner and kicking colored soccer balls into the oversized pool table pockets before their opponent does.

RAVE 2026 Kick Experience – Learn about RAVE Foundation’s 26 Fields by 2026 campaign and attempt to kick a soccer ball through a hole.

FIFA Gaming Station – Challenge an opponent to a friendly match of FIFA ’23.

Pose With A Pro – This augmented reality photobooth places fans in photos with their favorite players.

Sit & Soccer – A one-on-one table soccer game where fans attempt to outscore their opponent.

Scarves Up! Photo Activation – Raise a scarf and recreate the club’s iconic matchday moment in this new photobooth.

Sounders ‘Til I Die Instagram Wall – Themed photo opportunity for fans to grab the perfect social media shot.

Fans can also stop by the west concourse from 12:45 - 1:15 p.m. PT to listen in as former Sounders Steve Zakuani and Brad Evans record a live episode of **Side x Side with Zak & Brad**, the club’s official podcast, which on Sunday features special guest Marcus Hahnemann.

Additionally, on Sunday guests can explore a special pop-up museum exhibit, courtesy of Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience. The exhibit shares the rich history of the Chinatown-International District, where, although subject to exclusionary policies and practices for over 100 years, the community demonstrates strength through its vibrant business and community life. Stories of individuals, families and organizations reflect the resilience and creativity that resides within the neighborhood. Sunday’s pop-up also features highlights of Bruce Lee in the Chinatown-International District.

The pop-up exhibit pairs with Wing Luke’s current onsite exhibition, “Nobody Lives Here,” featuring the work of Tessa Hulls an artist, writer and historian who illuminates the connections between the present and the past by showcasing businesses, homes and people who were displaced when the I-5 freeway was built through Seattle’s Chinatown-International District neighborhood in the 1960s. Using historic photos, oral histories and archival research, the “Nobody Lives Here” connects these specific histories to broader themes of racist land use policy and the erasure of marginalized communities, nationally and locally, past and present.

Those interested in exploring “Nobody Lives Here” in full – or any of the other offerings at Wing Luke – can visit the museum at 719 S. King Street in Seattle. In celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month, Sunday, May 28 is Sounders FC Day at Wing Luke, with free admission for anyone wearing Sounders FC gear, with visitors that day also entered to win their own Bruce Lee Kit jersey.

Fans should plan to be in seats ahead of kickoff to enjoy all of Sounders FC’s pre-match traditions, from Boom, Boom, Clap to player lineup announcements.

Sunday’s national anthem is being performed by 10-year-old Yolanda Ji, a local singer.

The “Scarves Up!” moment honors Wing Luke Museum and its important place in the Seattle community, as the traditional pre-match call is led by current Executive Director Joel Tan, along with former Executive Directors Beth Takekawa and Ron Chew.

Fans unable to attend Sunday’s match in person can watch the game for free on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries here, and the match is also being shown nationally on FOX. Sounders FC's regional television partner FOX 13 is onsite at Lumen Field this Sunday providing a live post-match show led by Aaron Levine, Alyssa Charlston and Pete Fewing.
