Seattle's biggest rivalries return to Lumen Field as Sounders, Reign resume home play

albert 7.8

The Seattle-Portland rivalry is back and better than ever. Starting on July 12, Reign FC will face the Portland Thorns at Lumen Field before the Sounders take on the Timbers just a few days later on July 16.

Both matches mark the first home fixtures for the Reign and Sounders since May after Seattle served as a host city for FIFA World Cup 2026.

Coming off the energy and excitement of the six World Cup matches in the Emerald City, these fixtures are the perfect way to continue the soccer spirit as the two sides look to take down their Pacific Northwest foes.

There are multiple ways to attend both rivalry fixtures, beginning with the single match ticket options provided on both the Sounders and Reign websites.

Fans can also purchase a Sounders ticket through the RAVE partial pack, which includes three additional matches. First-time fans or those who have not attended a match since 2023 can snag two free tickets through the club’s First Match On Us program.

Fans looking to attend the Reign x Thorns rivalry match can purchase partial packs as well, or take advantage of special ticket offers, including the "Grudge Match" buy one, get one free deal or the Rivalry Mini Tote Bundle, which includes a match ticket and a limited-edition mini tote.

Two rivalry matches. Plenty of action. You won’t want to miss these battles at Lumen Field.
