The United States national team defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 on Tuesday night to win CONCACAF Group C and advance to the Hexagonal in 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying. The U.S. will open against Group A winner Mexico on Nov. 11 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Jozy Altidore scored in the 59th and 63rd minutes to pass Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey on the United States’ all-time World Cup Qualifying goals list (16). Substitute Paul Arriola sealed the win with a goal off a rebound on a shot by Christian Pulisic.

Sounders forward Jordan Morris logged 30 minutes off the bench as a substitute for Bobby Wood. Morris played 16 minutes in the U.S.’ win on Friday.

Seattle defender Joevin Jones started and played the full 90 minutes for Trinidad and Tobago after scoring a brace in T&T’s last match on Friday. Trinidad and Tobago have also qualified for the Hex by finishing in second place in Group C.
