WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. PT at BC Place.
WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on Apple TV.
WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air on 950 KJR AM in English and El Rey 1360AM in Spanish.
2026 MLS STANDINGS: Sounders: 11-11-10 (43 points, 8th in the West), Whitecaps: 17-8-7 (58 points, 1st in the West)
FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: LDDLW, Vancouver: WLWDD
PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders fell 2-0 to the Whitecaps at Lumen Field back on August 16. It was a closely contested match, with both sides creating chances and defending resolutely, until Vancouver took the lead through Ryan Elloumi in the 77th minute. Thomas Müller added a second just five minutes later from an indirect free kick to secure three points for the visitors.
CLINCHING SCENARIOS: Seattle would clinch a spot in the 2026 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs with a win on Sunday against Vancouver AND a Portland Timbers loss or draw against St. Louis CITY SC.Â
The Sounders can also clinch with a win over Vancouver AND a Real Salt Lake loss at San Jose AND an LA Galaxy loss/draw at Austin FC.Â
ROUND 4: Sunday marks the fourth time the Sounders and Whitecaps have gone head to head in 2026. The Rave Green picked up a 3-0 win at BC Place and a 2-1 win at ONE Spokane Stadium to advance past Vancouver in the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16. The Whitecaps responded with a 2-0 win at Lumen Field back in August, adding plenty of tension to Sunday's Cascadia clash.Â
FINAL STRETCH: Seattle only has two games remaining in the 2026 MLS regular season. Currently sitting 8th in the West, the team will likely need to pick up points in their final fixtures to secure a spot in the postseason.Â
ANDREW THOMAS: In his first season as a full-time starter, Andrew Thomas has been a serious contender for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. The Seattle shot stopper is sixth in the league in saves (113), fifth in save percentage (74%), and third in crosses claimed per 90 minutes (1.2). On top of that, he's third in the league in goals prevented with -9.86.
CASCADIA CUP CHAMPS: The Whitecaps have already clinched back-to-back Cascadia Cup titles with two wins over Portland and one against Seattle in league play. The Canadians also secured the regional title in 2025 with two wins and two draws.Â
TOP OF THE WEST: Vancouver has plenty to play for on Sunday - beyond the usual stakes of a rivalry match. A win at BC Place would see the Whitecaps clinch the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference ahead of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.Â
PLAYER TO WATCH: Brian White, F
The veteran striker enters the weekend with 18 goals in league play - tied for fourth in the MLS Golden Boot race. This is the fourth consecutive season in which White has tallied at least 15 regular season goals.
