There's no rivalry quite like Seattle versus Portland.
Ahead of Reign FC's match against the Portland Thorns on July 12 and the Sounders' clash with the Portland Timbers on July 16, the two clubs teamed up for a three-part video series starring Paul Rothrock, Andrew Thomas, Phoebe McClernon and Sally Menti.
From buying every rose in Seattle to gathering around a beach bonfire, each video builds on the last before ending with one final message: Rivalry Week has arrived.
No Roses in the Emerald City!
Paul Rothrock and Sally Menti stop by Ballard Blossom with one mission: buy every rose in the Emerald City. Along the way, they get a helping hand from former Sounder and current Reign broadcaster Kelyn Rowe.
Build a Bonfire, Build a Bonfire!
Andrew Thomas and Phoebe McClernon enjoy a bonfire at Golden Gardens while roasting marshmallows stamped with Portland logos. As the fire grows, Paul and Sally arrive carrying their haul of roses.
Seattle > Portland
The story comes full circle as Andrew, Phoebe, Paul and Sally send the roses into the bonfire, with Sammy the Sounder making a special appearance to put the finishing touch on Rivalry Week.
