Clint Dempsey’s biggest fan, Theo, is inconsolable.
In a video taken by Seattle Sounders fan Steffanie Foster Gustafson and posted to Facebook last Tuesday, her son Theo is devastated by the news that Dempsey will miss the rest of the 2016 season with an irregular heartbeat.
Despite Steffanie and her adorable puppy’s best efforts, Theo just won’t get over the loss of the Sounders’ star forward until he’s back on the pitch. But don't worry, Theo has faith that the doctors will fix Dempsey's “broken heart.”
The support for Dempsey on his road to recovery has come from far and wide - teammates, fans, coaches and followers of the beautiful game from around the world, but none quite so touching as Theo’s. Get well soon, Clint.
