PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2020 (Tacoma Defiance): Increasing his season total to 854 minutes, Diaz broke out for six goals during the 2020 campaign, including two goals against Portland Timbers 2 on April 8. He appeared in 13 games, starting nine.

2019 (Tacoma Defiance): Diaz appeared in 16 matches, starting eight. He added one goal against Rio Grande Valley on September 3. Diaz increased his minutes dramatically, notching 747 on the season.

2018 (S2): Diaz made his S2 debut on September 5 vs. Tulsa Roughnecks FC and played 31 minutes. He scored his first professional goal on October 10, tallying a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. In his next match, a 4-1 road win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on October 13, Diaz posted a goal and two assists. He ended the 2018 campaign with 312 minutes.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Has spent time with USYNT and full Puerto Rican NT, including U-20 World Cup Qualifiers where he netted two goals in group play against Cayman Islands.

YOUTH EXPERIENCE

Diaz joined the club via the Sounders Discovery Program from Pac Northwest in 2015. He was a member of the U-16 squad that won the Youdan Trophy after defeating FC Basel in 2016. In 2018, The forward scored 36 goals in 38 games across all competitions as the Sounders FC U-17 squad won the USSDA National Championship. Diaz also netted the winning goal over New York Red Bulls Academy in the 2018 to claim the Generation adidas Cup Premier Division.
