Sounders FC Summer Camps

The Sounders FC will host 50 statewide camps this summer

As the Sounders FC are preparing to take the field for their inaugural season on March 19, they are already looking to build the future of the sport in the Northwest. The Major League Soccer club launched the largest MLS Team Camp system, announcing they will host 50 sites statewide with satellite camps extending well beyond the Puget Sound area.

“We are extremely excited to launch our inaugural season of Sounders FC Camps!” camp director Amy Carnell said. “We have a ton of surprises in store for our campers including player and technical staff appearances, photo and action shot opportunities, weekly autographed merchandise giveaways and a very special camper exclusive event.”

The camps will feature several options for teams and individuals, with a coaching staff that features only the best local high school, college, professional and former professional players. Online registration is open at with early bird registration running until April 20th.

The half-day camps are open to soccer players ages 5-15 and are ideal for recreational and intermediate skill levels. The 9 a.m. to noon sessions will emphasize the application of technical and tactical skills.

The full-day camps are open to players ages 7-15, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The focus is on applying skills within small scrimmages.

The team camps feature 10 hours of coaching with the coach and location of your choice, with training specific to the needs of the team, ranging from skill improvement to team bonding and more.

In addition, the club will launch a new SoundBits program for children ages 2-4. The one-hour sessions run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with a great player/coach ratio that creates the perfect scenario to get your future soccer star involved now.

Along with the numerous camps in the sound, the Sounders FC will host satellite camps in Bellingham, Yakima, Tri-Cities and Spokane.

“As a camp, it speaks volumes to me that each camper walks away having had a positive and memorable experience,” Carnell said.

Registration is open at with a $20 early bird discount on half-day and full-day camps until April 20th.  For more information click here.
