Yedlin and Morris Called In for U.S. U20 National Team Camp

RENTON, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC announced today that defender DeAndre Yedlin and Academy forward Jordan Morris have been called in by the U.S. U20 National Team for training camp from April 22-29 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The team is in preparation for this summer’s U20 World Cup in Turkey.

Yedlin, 19, was previously called into the U20 national team camp in January of 2012. Seattle’s first Homegrown Player, Yedlin is the only player to play every minute of Seattle’s first six league matches and has appeared in all 10 matches across all competitions. Due to Seattle’s bye this weekend, Yedlin will not miss any first team games.

Morris, 18, is a forward for the Sounders FC Academy U18 team. The 2012 Gatorade Washington State Player of the Year, Morris has committed to Stanford University next fall. This is his first call-up to the national team at any level.

Sounders FC returns to action on May 4 at the Philadelphia Union followed by a May 8 match at Sporting Kansas City.
