SEATTLE – Sounders FC returns to CenturyLink Field on Sunday night to face the Houston Dynamo for the only time this season. The lineups are in and for the first time since May 24, Seattle Head Coach Sigi Schmid will have the Djimi Traore-Chad Marshall center back pairing anchoring the defense.
They will be flanked on defense by Brad Evans on the right and Leo Gonzalez on the left with Stefan Frei in goal. DeAndre Yedlin was late returning from a trip to Europe to meet with a club about a future transfer, leaving Evans to move from the right side of midfield last week against the San Jose Earthquakes to the right back spot he held with the U.S. National Team through World Cup qualifying.
In the midfield, Lamar Neagle will start on the right with Marco Pappa on the left and a central pair of Osvaldo Alonso and Gonzalo Pineda.
Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins will start up front as Seattle looks to break its two match losing and scoreless streak.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm PT with national television coverage on ESPN2.
