A little more than a month after helping the Seattle Sounders win their first MLS Cup, former midfielder Andreas Ivanschitz took to Twitter on Wednesday to thank the Emerald City.
The 33-year-old Austrian spent the last year and a half with the Rave Green where he totaled four goals and nine assists in 34 regular-season matches, including 25 starts this past season. He played in three of Seattle's six postseason games while battling a knee injury. His option was declined at the end of the 2016 season.
