The Seattle Sounders have dropped in the media’s Week 7 MLS Power Rankings after a 2-1 loss on the road at the Vancouver Whitecaps last Friday.
The Sounders are No. 9 on MLSSoccer.com (No. 5 last week), No. 9 on ESPN.com (No. 4) and No. 12 on SI.com (No. 10).
“A bit of bad luck and the head of Fredy Montero did the Sounders in up at the Vancouver Whitecaps,” said ESPN.com. “Seattle controlled the game from the outset and pushed hard to get back into it late, but neither was enough in the 2-1 loss.”
The Sounders head next to Carson, Calif., for a Sunday matinee against the LA Galaxy (1 p.m. PT; ESPN, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM).
