Referee Jorge Gonzalez to be head official for the Seattle Sounders’ Week 11 road match at the Chicago Fire

Referee Jorge Gonzalez will be the head official for the Seattle Sounders’ road match at the Chicago Fire on Saturday (6 p.m. PT; ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM), the Professional Referee Organization announced on Tuesday. He will be joined by assistants Jason White and Brian Dunn and fourth official Alejandro Mariscal.

Gonzalez has officiated over 130 MLS matches in his 11-year career, including the MLS Cup Playoffs and the 2010 MLS All-Star Game.

Gonzalez only refereed one Sounders match last season, a 3-1 road loss to the Colorado Rapids on April 23. He sent off Brad Evans in the 86th minute for arguing an offside call.
