WATCH: Jordan Morris, Cristian Roldan arrive at U.S. national team camp ahead of Gold Cup

Seattle Sounders teammates and well-documented best friends Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan arrived at United States national team camp in Nashville, Tenn., on Monday following the Sounders’ 2-2 road draw with the Portland Timbers Sunday evening.

U.S. head coach Bruce Arena selected Morris and Roldan to the 23-man group stage roster ahead of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The team will then travel to East Hartford, Conn., for a pre-tournament friendly against Ghana on July 1 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium (1:45 p.m. PT; ESPN, UniMas, UDN).

“I don’t really know what to expect,” said Roldan, who was called into his first international camp. “I’m excited to get things going and practice with these guys. It’s going to be overwhelming maybe, but I think it’ll be a good overwhelming."

“I’m excited about the jersey,” he continued. “Having that last name on a U.S. jersey means a lot to me and a lot to my family. It’s a huge honor. I’m going to be very proud and I hope my family is extremely proud when they get to see that jersey.”

The Gold Cup will run from July 7-26. The United States open against Panama at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on July 8 at 1:30 p.m. PT.
