Two upcoming Sounders FC matches to be broadcast on 107.7 The End

SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC today announced that it has reached an agreement with Entercom Seattle, LLC to air two upcoming matches on 107.7 The End (KNDD), beginning with this Sunday’s pivotal Western Conference clash at the LA Galaxy (1:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, 107.7 The End, El Rey 1360 AM). Seattle’s regular-season finale against Real Salt Lake on Sunday, October 23 is also set to be broadcast on 107.7 The End, as the club avoids scheduling conflicts with the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners on Bonneville Seattle Media Group, Sounders FC’s official radio partner.


“Both Bonneville and Entercom deserve a lot of credit for their flexibility as we collectively worked to ensure that these two matches received a quality radio broadcast,” said Sounders FC Chief Operating Office Bart Wiley. “Our club is always in favor of generating creative solutions to challenges that directly affect our fans, and in this case, we’re thrilled that they’re able to enjoy these radio broadcasts on 107.7 The End as we worked through scheduling matters with our partners at KIRO Radio.”


Fans can expect a normal Sounders FC broadcast, with radio play-by-play man Matt Johnson and analyst Kasey Keller providing the commentary for Sunday’s contest against the LA Galaxy. The pre-match, halftime and post-match shows, however, will be hosted by 107.7 The End on-air talent Gregr and Manley, as the pair of radio hosts are joined by Sounders FC analysts Wade Webber and Danny Jackson. Gregr and Manley made their debut in soccer broadcasting last year, lending their voices to the live video stream of Sounders FC 2 vs. Portland Timbers 2 on April 11, 2015.

Following a 1-0 home win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Sounders FC (10-13-5, 35 points) travels to Southern California to take on second-place LA Galaxy (11-4-15, 48 points) on Sunday, September 25 at the StubHub Center. The Rave Green currently sit in seventh place in the Western Conference, just five points behind Sporting Kansas City for the sixth and final spot in the 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, with six games remaining in the 2016 regular season.
