HEATING UPClint Dempsey has seven goals in his last seven MLS matches, including his stoppage-time equalizer in Portland on June 25th. He leads the Sounders with 11 tallies in 2017 and sits just two goals away from tying Fredy Montero's regular season scoring record at 47.

VICTOR RODRIGUEZ’S DEBUT: The Sounders midfielder made his first start for the club against Vancouver and made a good first impression after playing the full 90 minutes. He forced a penalty in the 20th minute and nearly had a goal of his own on a 33rd minute free kick if not for a spectacular save by 'Caps goalkeeper David Ousted.
