Sounders FC unveils Xbox One X jersey embellishment in collaboration with Xbox

Bruin Xbox One X

Sounders FC and Xbox today announced the details surrounding a second jersey embellishment for Seattle this season. As the Rave Green take on FC Dallas this Sunday in a nationally televised match on FS1, the team plans to wear its primary kit with a special twist: Xbox One X adornments on the jersey’s chest.

While 2017 is the third consecutive season that Sounders FC and Xbox have collaborated to release a themed jersey, the Xbox One X embellishment marks the first time the club has altered its primary Rave Green kits. It is also the first time that Seattle has embellished two jerseys in a single season, with the team having played two matches in September in Forza Motorsport 7-themed kits.

Xbox One X is the world’s most powerful console. With 40% more power than any other console on the market, users can experience immersive, true 4K gaming. Blockbuster titles look great, run smoothly and load quickly, and Xbox One X works with all Xbox One games and accessories. Xbox One X launches on November 7 and is available for pre-order today.

Sounders FC is unbeaten when wearing the embellished kits in MLS play (2-0-2), including a 1-1 draw against the LA Galaxy last month, and hopes to continue that trend this week.

Fans interested in having their own Rave Green jerseys embellished with the Xbox One X mark to match the team may do so at The Pro Shop at CenturyLink Field on Sunday. This special service is available only at the stadium Pro Shop location for matchday, while supplies last. The cost for embellishment is $15 per jersey and same-day turnaround is dependent on order volume.

Following a FIFA international break that saw seven Sounders FC players called into national team duty, the Rave Green return to action and are set to conclude the 2017 campaign with a pair of home matches this Sunday vs. FC Dallas and October 22 vs. the Colorado Rapids. Seattle is currently tied for third in the Western Conference with the Portland Timbers, with 47 points (12-9-11), one point shy of Sporting Kansas City for second place and four points below Vancouver for the top spot. A win this weekend would ensure a postseason position for Brian Schmetzer’s side, while a loss or draw could also see Seattle clinch, contingent upon other results across Major League Soccer.
