Ozzie Alonso to throw out ceremonial first pitch at Seattle Mariners game on Saturday, May 19

Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Osvaldo Alonso will deliver the ceremonial first pitch on Saturday, May 19, when the Seattle Mariners host the Detroit Tigers at Safeco Field.

Scheduled for a 6:10 p.m. PT start, the game marks Alonso’s second time participating in the pregame ritual, as he threw a first pitch for the Mariners when they faced the Kansas City Royals in 2016.

The Mariners and Sounders FC are once again teaming up for a special doubleheader promotion this season, scheduled for Saturday, May 26. For $50, fans receive a ticket to Sounders FC’s 2 p.m. PT match against Real Salt Lake, a ticket to see the Mariners face the Minnesota Twins at 7 p.m. PT and an exclusive doubleheader reversible knit cap, featuring Sounders FC colors and badge on one side that, when flipped inside out, displays Mariners colors and logo. Fans can purchase a doubleheader package at the following link: SoundersFC.com/Mariners.
