Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall and midfielder Nicolás Lodeiro to the Week 24 Team of the Week for their efforts in the 2-1 win against FC Dallas at CenturyLink Field on Sunday evening.
In the 41st minute, Lodeiro delivered a corner kick into the area, where Marshall sent a glancing header into the back of the net for a 1-0 advantage. After FC Dallas found the equalizer in the 52nd minute, Lodeiro scored the winner 10 minutes later on a free kick that pierced through everyone and slipped into goal. The 29-year-old Designated Player is tied for the team lead with six goals and paces the club with seven assists.
