INJURY CONCERNS: Ruidíaz and Marshall each exited Wednesday’s match early. Ruidíaz has been diagnosed with a right ankle sprain, while Marshall left for precautionary reasons at halftime after hitting heads with a Union player.

MR. 100: Roldan made his 100th Sounders start on Wednesday since debuting in 2015.

PLAYOFF PUSH: The Western Conference continues to be tight, as just seven points separates first place from sixth. Sunday’s match will be a massive six-pointer as the Sounders try and give themselves breathing room and the Galaxy look to claw back close to the playoff line.

SIGI OUT: Galaxy Head Coach and former Sounders Head Coach Sigi Schmid resigned on Sept. 10 after a little more than a year at the helm of the team he coached from 1999-2004. Longtime MLS veteran coach Dom Kinnear has taken over on an interim basis.

ZLATAN 500: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who did not travel to Seattle last month, scored his 500th career goal for club and country last weekend in a 5-3 loss at Toronto FC. He leads the Galaxy with 17 goals and eight assists.

WINLESS IN SEVEN: The Galaxy have not won in their last seven matches dating back to July 29. They are 0-4-3 in that span.

DEFENSIVE WOES: The Galaxy have allowed 59 goals in 29 matches, second-worst in the Western Conference and third-worst in MLS. They allowed five on the road at TFC last weekend.
