The Seattle Sounders on Monday selected San Diego State University defender Aleks Berkolds with the 20th pick of the third round (68th overall) in MLS SuperDraft 2019.
Berkolds, 22, is a native of Northridge, Calif. He started all 18 matches and led the Aztecs in minutes this past season. The Sounders selected U.S. Air Force midfielder Tucker Bone in the first round and Creighton midfielder Joel Rydstrand in the second round on Friday.
