Stefan Frei nominated for 2020 MLS Save of the Year

Major League Soccer announced on Thursday that Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei has been named as a finalist for 2020 MLS Save of the Year for his point-blank stop against the Colorado Rapids on November 1.

Rapids midfielder Nicolás Mezquida appeared poised for a tap-in at the back post after receiving a pass from Diego Rubio, but Frei scrambled across the line quickly and took away the angle, pulling off an incredible reflex save from just a few yards away.
