Puma Playfield at Concord International Elementary School is one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. Located in South Park, the pitch reflects RAVE’s commitment to investing in neighborhoods where access to safe recreational space can have a lasting impact on community health and wellness.

That impact is deeply personal for Paulina Lopez. As Executive Director of the Duwamish River Community Coalition, Paulina has spent years advocating for a neighborhood squeezed between freeways, under flight paths and burdened with some of Seattle’s highest asthma rates. Puma Playfield took five years to bring to life and nearly never happened — but Paulina refused to let the project go. With her own son attending Concord, this work was never just professional; it was always personal.
