Lakeridge Playfield is one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. Located in South Seattle, the pitch reflects RAVE’s long-standing commitment to partnering with communities to create opportunities that extend far beyond the game.

That commitment is exemplified by Johnnie Williams. Few partners have been with RAVE longer than Johnnie. As a Recreation Leader for Seattle Parks, he helped establish one of the organization’s earliest community partnerships, rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to play. Over the years, that partnership has grown from a simple ball giveaway into a citywide commitment to youth wellness, opportunity and belonging. Johnnie often says that giving a child a soccer ball can change their life, and his steadfast support has helped make that belief a reality for thousands of young people.
