NewHolly Central Park is one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. Located in South Seattle, the pitch reflects RAVE’s commitment to investing in community wellness, equity and youth development through the power of play.

That mission is embodied by Dr. Ben Danielson, a Professor of Pediatrics at UW and one of Seattle’s most respected children’s health advocates. Throughout his career, Dr. Danielson has insisted that justice and wellness are inseparable, helping bring an Odessa Brown clinic to NewHolly just steps from these fields while championing free play as medicine. His philosophy can be summed up in four powerful words: “Joy is a health outcome.”
