Northshore YMCA is home to one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. Located in Bothell, the pitch reflects RAVE's commitment to expanding access to the game through strong community partnerships, ensuring more young people have a place to play, grow and belong.
That vision was made possible in part by Loria Yeadon. The first woman and first person of color to lead the YMCA of Greater Seattle in its 148-year history, Loria is a transformational force whose commitment to whole-person health, belonging and equity has reshaped what the Y means to communities across the Puget Sound region. She was an early and unwavering champion of bringing soccer to YMCA youth, and her advocacy helped open the door to the first of many RAVE mini pitches on YMCA campuses.
