Seahurst Elementary is home to one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. Located in Burien, the pitch reflects RAVE’s commitment to ensuring every child has access to the game while strengthening the communities that surround it.

That mission is embodied by Gabriel Rueda. Community is at the heart of everything he builds. Alongside his brother Diego and friend Angel Huaringa, Gabriel transformed a lifelong love of soccer into SeaTown FC, a grassroots club committed to opening doors for local youth. Serving many Spanish-speaking and unhoused families, he is known for finding a way around obstacles so every child who wants to play has a place to belong. Gabriel understands that the game can break down barriers — and he works every day to make sure it does.
