Located in Sumner, the pitch reflects RAVE's commitment to bringing the game into neighborhoods where it can expand opportunity, foster connection and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
That vision is deeply personal for Thach Nguyen. After arriving in Washington as a young refugee from Vietnam, soccer became more than a game. It was a source of belonging, a common language and a place where friendships could grow regardless of background. Years later, through his partnership with RAVE Foundation, Thach has helped bring mini pitches to many of the same communities that shaped his childhood, including Sumner. For him, each field is more than a place to play. It is an investment in the next generation, ensuring every child has access to the same sense of joy, connection and opportunity that soccer gave him.
