Star Lake Elementary is one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. Located in South King County, the pitch reflects RAVE’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to the game while investing in the communities that shape the future of soccer in the region.
That mission is deeply understood by Maya Mendoza-Exstrom. As Chief Business Officer of Seattle Reign FC, architect of Seattle’s World Cup bid and one of the sport’s most passionate advocates for the women’s game, Maya has spent her career proving soccer is about far more than what happens on the field. As part of the founding team that gave RAVE its very first spark alongside owner Adrian Hanauer, she understands the Foundation’s mission on both a personal and professional level.
