Yesler Terrace Park is one of the 52 RAVE Foundation mini pitches built across Washington state, creating safe and accessible spaces where kids and communities can play, connect and thrive through soccer. As RAVE’s flagship field project in the heart of Seattle, the pitch represents the foundation’s deep commitment to community, equity and youth development.
That mission is embodied by Temesgen Habte, a beloved community anchor and longtime RAVE champion who helped bring the field to life in the very neighborhood he served as Director of Yesler Community Center — because for him, play and wellness for Seattle’s youth has never just been a job.
