Chris Cornish enters his ninth year with Sounders FC after gaining experience in MLS with FC Dallas and D.C. United, and in the English Premier League with Fulham. A native of Surrey, England, Cornish received his degree in sports therapy from the University of Hertfordshire, where he also served as captain of the soccer team. He worked as a sports therapist for Watford’s Academy and Kingstonian FC before going to Montana State University Billings, where he earned his Master’s degree in athletic training while playing two seasons for the Yellowjackets. Cornish played soccer at the semi-professional and collegiate levels, and holds an FA coaching license. Cornish and his wife, Sara, live in Kirkland.
