Kelly Schutz
Director of Corporate Communications
Kelly Schutz enters her seventh season with Sounders FC in 2023, currently serving as Director of Corporate Communications. In this role, Schutz serves on the team’s communications staff, with a focus on executing the club’s messaging and managing its image in corporate, civic and community affairs. She also helps oversee media services and directs Sounders FC’s brand ambassador program.
Before joining the Rave Green in 2016, Schutz spent nearly seven seasons in communications with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, beginning as an intern before moving up the ranks with the club. During this time, she also worked with the league’s PR department to assist in managing media relations for six Super Bowls. Schutz attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She lives in Seattle and enjoys hiking and mountaineering in her spare time.
