Kelly Schutz
Director of Corporate & Internal Communications
Kelly Schutz enters her eighth season with Sounders FC in 2024, currently serving as Director of Corporate & Internal Communications. In this role, Schutz serves on the team’s communications staff, with a focus on executing the club’s messaging and managing its image in corporate, civic and community affairs as well as building a new internal communications vertical for the company. She also helps oversee media services and directs Sounders FC’s brand ambassador program.
Before joining the Rave Green in 2016, Schutz spent nearly seven seasons in communications with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, beginning as an intern before moving up the ranks with the team. During this time, she also worked with the NFL’s league office to assist in managing media relations for six Super Bowls. Schutz attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She lives in Seattle with her dog, Raisin, and enjoys hiking and mountaineering in her spare time.
