Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders right back Alex Roldan to the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 12 following his stellar performance in the Rave Green's 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on Sunday.
Up against a Dynamo side that had yet to lose at home this season, Roldan put in a fantastic two-way shift. Seattle's right back registered two key passes, four accurate crosses, and set up Paul Rothrock's game-winning goal in the 87th minute. On the defensive side, he posted two tackles, two interceptions, six recoveries and won all eight of his duels.
Roldan and the Sounders return to action on Wednesday as they host 2022 Western Conference finalist Austin FC (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV | TICKETS) at Lumen Field.
