The 2024 MLS Regular season schedule is officially here.
The Seattle Sounders will commence their 50th Anniversary campaign on Feb. 24. The Rave Green’s slate is packed with rivalries and will host a total of 17 MLS regular season matches throughout the duration of the year. Here are five home matches you won’t want to miss.
Austin FC (March 2, 2024)
March 2 will not only be a competitive match between the Sounders and Austin FC, but it will also be the Seattle squad’s home opener to the MLS Regular season. It’ll be a battle between some of the top midfielders in Major League Soccer with Sebastián Driussi serving as the Texas side’s No. 10 and the combination of Albert Rusnák, João Paulo and Josh Atencio representing the dominant force of the Rave Green midfield.
Vancouver Whitecaps (April 20, 2024)
The Sounders’ April 20th match will be the team’s first of many Cascadia Cup battles throughout the 2024 season. The Sounders and the Vancouver Whitecaps rivalry dates all the way back to 1974, when both teams competed in the North American Soccer League, and it remains alive and well to this day.
Minnesota United (June 15, 2024)
The matchup between the Sounders and Minnesota United is always a riveting one. From Albert Rusnák’s late second half goal to bring the team to a 1-0 victory last season, or João Paulo’s memorable golazos in years prior, it is always compelling to see what the Rave Green has in store against the Loons. The home meeting on June 15 also marks the club’s 50th Anniversary Celebration match and will include plenty of celebrations surrounding the club’s five decades of rich history.

LAFC (July 20, 2024)
It is a dog fight every time the Sounders and LAFC face one another. Not only will this be a matchup between two of the best teams in the Western Conference, it will also be a chance at redemption for the Rave Green after LAFC came away with a 1-0 victory in the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals.
Portland Timbers (October 19, 2024)
This matchup doesn’t require much explanation. You’ve got the greatest rivalry in American soccer taking on place on Decision Day. Two storied foes squaring off with potential postseason seeding on the line, under the lights at Lumen Field. The energy will be electric as the Sounders and Timbers go to battle in this high-stakes match.
