Ahead of a busy week that sees Sounders FC first host Salvadoran club Santa Tecla FC in the second leg of Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16 on Thursday, March 1 (7:00 p.m. PT), followed by the opening of the MLS regular-season on Sunday, March 4 against Los Angeles FC (2:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM), the Rave Green are hosting their annual club Media Day on Wednesday, February 28 at CenturyLink Field, beginning at 10:30 a.m. PT.
Photographers and videographers are free to capture still images and b-roll throughout the morning practice, and all media members are welcome to observe the all-access training session. Multiple players are being made available for interviews at the conclusion of training, and lunch is being served in the CenturyLink Field Southwest Loft ahead of a press conference featuring Sounders FC leadership - including General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey, Head Coach Brian Schmetzer and Vice President of Soccer & Sporting Director Chris Henderson. After the press conference, accredited members of the media are able to claim their 2018 MLS season credentials and media packets.
Members of the media wishing to attend Media Day and claim their 2018 season credentials should RSVP with a member of Sounders FC's Communications Department by Monday, February 26 at 5:00 p.m. PT. Parking is being provided to those media members who RSVP.
All 2018 season-long media credential applications must be submitted by the assigning editor and be accompanied by a headshot before the deadline of Monday, February 19 at 3:00 p.m. PT. Accredited members of the media wishing to obtain season-long access throughout 2018 may apply via the following link: SoundersFC.com/Credentials. Media are reminded that the accreditation process for 2018 MLS credentials at CenturyLink Field is completely separate from the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League application process.
