Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Matchday following his stunning, game-winning volley against CF Montréal on Saturday.
In the 20th minute, Jackson Ragen rose highest to an Albert Rusnák free kick and headed it down into the path of Ruidíaz. Seattle’s No. 9 raced onto the ball and lashed it with his left foot, sending it over the goalkeeper and into the side netting. That goal broke the floodgates for the Rave Green’s attack, sparking a 5-0 win over Montréal at Lumen Field.
