The Seattle Sounders have dropped slightly in the Week 3 media installments of MLS Power Rankings after their last-gasp 2-2 draw against the Montreal Impact in Quebec last Saturday.
The Sounders are No. 6 on MLSSoccer.com (No. 5 last week), No. 10 on ESPN.com (No. 7) and No. 12 on SI.com (No. 11).
“They were probably going to drop until that late rally at the Big O, but that big rally shows exactly why the Sounders are going to be tough to beat all year,” said MLSSoccer.com.
The Sounders (0-1-1) will look for their first win of the season in their home opener against the New York Red Bulls on Sunday, March 19 (4 p.m. PT; FS1, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM | TICKETS).
