The Seattle Sounders are hosting 2018 MLS expansion franchise LAFC in their inaugural match on Sunday (2 p.m. PT; ESPN, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Here is the Delta Starting XI:
NOTES:
- The Sounders employ a rotational lineup in a match bookended by two CONCACAF Champions League fixtures. Seattle will host Liga MX side Chivas on Wednesday at CenturyLink Field at 7 p.m. PT in the first leg of the quarterfinals.
- After going 90 minutes against Santa Tecla FC on Thursday, Chad Marshall, Clint Dempsey and Jordan McCrary won’t factor in the Starting XI with Dempsey and McCrary not in the 18 at all.
- Jordy Delem gets the start at right fullback with McCrary resting and Kelvin Leerdam still out with an ankle sprain.
