The 27-year-old Serbian international, who joined from fellow MLS side Sporting Kansas City on Aug. 25 for $6M in a cash-for-player trade, was named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week for Matchday 23.

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON: After years of facing former LAFC Head Coach Bob Bradley, the Sounders will take on his son, Michael, who is in his first season in charge of Red Bull New York. The younger Bradley is a former Red Bull New York Homegrown and United States international mainstay whose playing career spanned nearly 20 years for the likes of Borussia Mönchengladbach, AS Roma and Toronto FC.

UNDERPERFORMANCE: The Red Bulls enter the weekend with the second-worst Goal Difference-Expected Goal Difference in MLS at -11.35. RBNY has mostly been underperforming in attack with nearly 10 more Expected Goals than actual tallies, the third-lowest mark in the league.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Julian Hall, F

This has been a breakout year for 18-year-old Homegrown forward Hall, who leads the Red Bulls with nine goals on the season. The United States youth international was a 2026 MLS All-Star selection and recently signed a U22 Initiative contract extension, making him the youngest American U22 Initiative signing in league history. Hall is the fourth-youngest player to ever make an MLS appearance when he debuted at 15 years and 190 days in 2023.
