- Schmetzer makes seven changes from the Sounders' away match against Real Salt Lake with Stefan Frei, Jackson Ragen, Joao Pãulo, and Albert Rusnák remaining in the Starting XI.
- Saturday's match is the second of three contests between the two sides this year, with Vancouver beating Seattle 2-0 on April 20 at Lumen Field.
- The fixture is Seattle's third in its quest for the 2024 Cascadia Cup. The Rave Green sit in second place in the standings with three points, while Whitecaps FC occupies first place with six points. Portland is in last place with zero points.
