AND THEN THERE WAS ONE: San Jose enters this weekend as the lone winless team in MLS. Every other team in the league besides Vancouver (one) has at least two wins.

EBOBISSE THRIVING: Despite the team struggles, forward Jeremy Ebobisse is tied for the league lead in goals with five. The former Portland Timbers striker is in his first full season in San Jose after being traded midway through last season.

DEFENSIVE STRUGGLES: The ‘Quakes come into Saturday with the worst defense in MLS. San Jose has allowed 17 goals in just seven matches to start the campaign, three more than the next-highest in the Western Conference.
