Winning always feels pretty good. Especially better than losing. Or drawing. No fun there.
Wednesday was a good day for the Sounders in that respect given the success of both of its teams in separate fixtures. First, the Seattle Sounders FC 2 came-from-behind to top the Portland Timbers FC 2 (hehehe) in a 2-1 match in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. A few short hours after that, the Sounders FC 1 passed the Colorado Rapids off the park in a 1-0 result, the club's fifth win in seven matches.
And the sun was shining, oh the sun was shining!
What a lovely day it was in the Emerald City (and Tukwila, if you're particular about your nickname locations). Either way, Wednesday was a very successful day in Sounders land and I'm here to recap it all in the latest Social Timeline. Huzzah!
