RENTON, Wash. – Seattle Sounders FC and midfielder Shalrie Joseph have agreed to a new contract, it was announced today. Joseph will no longer occupy a Designated Player spot for Sounders FC.
Joseph has started four of his seven MLS appearances this season, logging 429 minutes. Joseph, 35, is a four-time MLS Best XI player and eight-time All-Star. Overall, he has made 280 appearances over his 11-year MLS career, scoring 39 goals with 35 assists.
Sounders FC hosts FC Dallas on Saturday, August 3. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field.
