SEATTLE, WASH. – The United Soccer League today announced that tomorrow’s Tacoma Defiance match at Las Vegas Lights has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Nevada club. The fixture has been re-scheduled for next Wednesday, August 19 at Cashman Field (7:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
Defiance is 2-1-1 since returning to USL action on July 13. Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Reno snapped a three-match unbeaten run, as well as a two-match winning streak after a pair of shutout wins over Portland. Sitting third in the club’s newly-established four-team group following the resumption of play due to the COVID-19 shutdown, Defiance’s next scheduled match is Saturday, August 15 at Sacramento Republic FC (8:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
