Traffic, Bag Policies and Security: All you need to know for SEAvNYC

After a long international break, the Seattle Sounders are back at home this Saturday. Before you head to CenturyLink Field, there are a few things you should know before this weekend's match.

Updated Security Procedures

Beginning at this Saturday's match, CenturyLink Field will start phasing in walk through metal detectors at gates. For this week, they will only be placed at the Northeast, club and suite level gates. By the end of July, all gates will have walk through metal detectors instead of the typical wanding that Sounders fans have experienced in the past. The detectors will be similar to those that are currently used at Safeco Field.

Bag Policy

Prior to the international break, CenturyLink Field began limiting the size of bags per the new Major League Soccer policy. Fans are reminded that bags must be smaller than 14" by 14" by 6". Learn more about the new policy here and what types of bags are permitted at CenturyLink Field.

Traffic Advisory

With a Mariners game, the President's visit to Seattle and various Pride Festivals being held throughout the city, fans are advised to check traffic and consider other transit options when traveling to CenturyLink Field. For the latest updates, check WSDOT.
