ORLANDO, Florida - Seattle Sounders FC (2-6-1, 7 points) conceded two first-half goals in a 2-0 loss to Orlando City SC in the MLS Reserve League on Sunday night at the Citrus Bowl.

The match was played in front of 10,697 fans, marking the largest regular-season attendance in Orlando City history.

Orlando City scored in the first minute of the game following a Seattle turnover. Midfielder Kevin Molino blasted a shot from 22 yards out that deflected off a Sounders FC defender and bounced into the net.

Sounders FC nearly equalized in the seventh minute when Jhon Kennedy Hurtado played Blair Gavin behind the Orlando backline. Gavin sent a cross from the right flank to the far post where David Estrada's attempt was cleared off the line by a defender.

Orlando City doubled its lead at the half-hour mark when Rob Valentino headed in a corner kick from Anthony Pulis.

Seattle nearly pulled one goal back late in the second half when Estrada beat his defender to the endline and sent a cross to the far post. Andy Rose hammered a header on frame that goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo dived to push wide.

Molino had another opportunity in the first half when he collected the ball at the top of the box in the 38th minute but his shot caromed off the crossbar.

Seattle defender Dylan Remick provided service to the attack throughout the game, including a cross in the 20th minute that Gavin headed wide of the post and a cross to Zavaleta in the 39th minute that was also headed wide.

Goalkeeper Andrew Weber made several saves, including a late stop on an onrushing Molino in the 79th minute.

Sounders FC has two MLS Reserve League games remaining this season. Seattle hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps FC on August 26 and will visit the Portland Timbers on October 14.
