Social Timeline: Seattle's lead at the top of the MLS table now 10 points after 1-0 win in DC

Leo Gonzalez

Pretty fun little season we're having here.

Just about at the halfway point of the year, your Seattle Sounders Football Club is a whole 10 points ahead of the rest of the league following a tidy little 1-0 victory over Eastern Conference upstarts DC United on Saturday. I was there. It was far away. It was hot. RFK made me miss CenturyLink Field. But hey, we got the three points thanks to a lovey, lovely Chad Barrett header (who later in the match and I saw it up close so I can confirm) literally lost a massive chunk of his upper lip in the match.

I think he'll take that trade. All. Day.

Let's go back and enjoy the dance once more in my latest Social Timeline - which will soon be winning Pulitzer Prize for its oustanding contribution to the world of soccer journalism.

A very nice start to the trip.

It was billed to be quite a good one.

Then the day came! And we were all excited.

This is a pretty fun video. I recommend you watch it.

We had the old lineups here.

…and here.

That was that. Time to get cracking.

That is a chant we do. All across the U.S.A.

Chad Barrett then grabbed himself a goal. It was nice.

This is how it happened.

Going into the break leading the match is the best way to go into the break.

This was a big moment.

And the final whistle went. Three. More. Points.

Aaron was excited to get his first minutes for Seattle.

Dylan liked how things went in this one.

Despite the fresh hole in his face, Chad was pleased.

We’re proud of you, too, Brad.

Just so much love.

Not many folks, I suspect.

Seflies with Chad Marshall are the best kind of selfies.

Fantastic support as always. Never gets old.
